How to play Monopoly GO on PC

Monopoly, a timeless classic, has evolved with the arrival of Monopoly GO in April 2023. This mobile game brings the traditional board game experience to smartphones, combining the charm of classic Monopoly with the convenience of smartphones: fast , easy and accessible.

Unfortunately, Monopoly GO is only available on smartphones and cannot be played on PC, which may disappoint PC users eager to join this digital fun. But do not worry ! This guide explains how you can play Monopoly GO on a PC.

How to play Monopoly GO on PC

There is no official information yet on whether Scopely is developing a PC version of Monopoly GO, but there are ways around this small constraint. For applications that do not have a PC version, emulators are the best solution. Bluestacks is an Android emulator that can help you bring Monopoly GO to your PC. Here's what players should do:

Download Bluestacks (or your emulator of choice) to your PC. To do this, open the Bluestacks website on your web browser. There will be a button that says “Download Bluestacks”. By clicking on the button, the download will probably start. Save and run the file, after which Bluestacks will be fully operational.

Once Bluestacks is successfully downloaded, launch the program and navigate to the search box.

In the “search for games and apps” box, type Monopoly GO.

Click on the store icon that appears. This will take you to the Play Store.

Next, players need to sign in to their Google accounts if they are not already signed in, then install the Monopoly GO app. If you don't have an account, you can create one.

The installation process is similar to the Play Store. When Monopoly GO is installed, its icon will be visible on the Bluestacks desktop.

And this is how you can install and play Monopoly Go on a PC.

Some important points to keep in mind

As the developers do not officially support a PC version of Monopoly GO, using an emulator is a backdoor way to access the game on a PC. As a result, the app can sometimes crash, and there is little you can do to work around the problem. However, it is important to note that applications and games can also crash when there is not enough disk space on the computer.

Emulators generally need around two GB of free disk space to work properly. If the emulator fails to start or the game crashes too frequently, users should check their disk capacity and free up space accordingly.
